About our sugar kit
The reason the Top Lip Kit was created was to enable women to be the boss of their own facial hair removal, especially those who were too embarrassed to go to a salon. Our facial hair removal kit has the tools and instructions to help ladies improve self-esteem and avoid the constant upkeep of other methods.
Back in 2005, I started Sugarflick to provide a body sugaring service for all fed up with waxing and poor shop-bought products. Of course, things have moved on now with lasers and more but doing your own hair removal is never easy. Always see a professional for intimate areas but for the face, so easy! You can do it yourself, quickly and with confidence. This kit can show you how!
I make all my own sugar paste; it is all fully licensed and registered. Making a home hair removal kit that was both sustainable and natural was something I always wanted to do.
The perfect time
Lockdown, as awful as it was, this time gave me that opportunity and the first version of our kit, TLK – the Top Lip Kit, was born. It gave me the space needed to research and develop this handy little kit. I wanted to make a time saving product meaning less trips to a salon and it had to be sustainable.
The kit includes all you need to whip off that tache, tidy those brows or rid your chin of those pesky wee hairs. It is environmentally friendly and can be done in the privacy of your own home. The results can make you feel better, boost your confidence and be happy with the results of long lasting smooth skin.
Facial hair is completely natural, of course, you might have inherited it, you may suffer with PCOS, or it might manifest itself as you age. As women, many of us find it embarrassing or just a pain in whichever way it comes. The Top Lip Kit is intended to be your secret weapon to keeping your skin hair-free and smooth, this will give you confidence.
Benefits of sugar?
It’s sweet :) Natural and amazingly effective for hair removal. Its purity, when combined with the right application, means a gentler treatment with very thorough results. Sugar is kind to you, your skin and the environment, it can leave a small amount of redness for a few minutes, but for many, no redness is left at all!
When I started Sugarflick all those years ago – my specialism in intimate hair removal meant that I had to find the most effective way to treat areas of sensitive skin. This motivated my search for the right method and my love for nature, animals and our planet meant that I was determined to find a solution that was natural, vegan and sustainable.
Sugar ticked all the boxes. I was able to source this from the UK making paste using sugar beet, grown in East Anglia, and combine it with only natural ingredients for the final paste. My clients commented on how gentle it was, especially compared to their experiences with other methods. And they were impressed with the long-lasting results.
What’s in the paste?
The TLK sugar paste is made of only 3 ingredients: sugar, water & lemon. Nothing else. This means it is natural and water soluble. While you can get into a right mess with many chemically filled beauty products – our sugar paste is natural, vegan and easy to wipe away. In fact it is a very old method, passed down by generations but there is no evidence it was started in Egypt, or used by Cleopatra, the are all just marketing lines passed down for years ~ it’s true source is unknown.
The paste’s natural ingredients result in a gentler treatment as there are no chemicals or additives which can irritate your skin. You are left with little or no redness and smooth skin ~ thanks to nature. I’m very proud that this little kit and it proves that beauty products can be effective with only natural ingredients, they do not have to cost the earth!

I have been removing body hair at Sugarflick for 20 years now and over those years, I have gained a wealth of experience. I have used many sugar pastes from many different companies and sugared many human bodies from all walks of life. I have sugared practically every part of the human body… ok, not the head, that’s not a place you go… but neck down, I have done it.

Our human testers confirmed how easy it is to use, how effective and how long lasting the results were.
