Who remembers Marilyn Monroe in “Some Like it Hot”?
Her character was called—believe it or not—”Sugar” and a famous line from that film on marrying well was… “I don’t care how rich he is, as long as he has a yacht, his own private railroad car, and his own toothpaste.”
Now we are in a world of botox, laser, turkey teeth, fillers, and Wegovy. How things have changed! I wonder what line Sugar would have delivered had that film been made today…”I don’t care how rich he is, as long as he has his own hair, his own teeth and has had a good wax down there”
Despite all the laser options out there, waxing and sugaring are still very popular and offered by many salons. Now in our 20th year we are very pleased it still is.
Not everyone can afford a laser treatment, and not all can have it either. Many people are allergic to wax or they just do not get a good result.
Since settling in our new place in Chandlers Ford and now all is done (well, almost just finishing off the new website) our online booking is open.
Sugar in the heat
Please do not leave it to the last minute and now it is so HOT, please keep your skin out the sun at least 48 hours before any treatment with us. If you are burnt, we can’t do it, if your skin is hot, we can’t do it, and if you have been on a sunbed, that counts too. All aftercare treatment advice is sent by email when you book! We have air con in our room so we can keep you and your skin cool.
