Sugarballing

published under sugar facts on July 6th 2024

Sugarballing, what is this? Well it is literally that, a ball of sugar, a handful taken from a pot, moulded in the hand, spread on the skin and flicked. It is great for removing tiny hairs, you know, those invisible, but spikey to the touch, teeny weeny ones!

Fee Sugarflick Sugarballing at the beginning

Traditional Sugaring is what we were taught, back in the day and you may visit a salon that offers only hand sugaring. We no longer use this method on the nether regions.

Why? That is something not easily explained in text. We often demonstrate to clients why we dropped the ball on the downstairs area and this is something we will teach in our training.

In certain areas of the body, those balls of sugar can be pretty uncomfortable and over the years we have developed many techniques to remove hair. Our staff are taught many techniques and we are all, even now, still learning, what is it they say “every day is a school day”

Over the last 20 years, we have developed our own techniques and sugar pastes to make the most uncomfortable experience comfortable, to the point that it is extremely unlikely you will wish to pick up the razor again!

We are client-focused, and we know when and where to use which paste and for which body part. The time of year can also dictate what paste we use. In the summer we will need a harder paste, in winter, a softer paste.
